Metal Deburring Supply ("we," "us," "our") operates www.metal-deburring.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information We Collect

Account Information

If you create a customer account, we collect your email address, password, first and last name, company name, phone number, and shipping address (street, city, state, ZIP, and country). Passwords are handled by our authentication provider, Supabase, and we never see or store your password in plain text.

Saved Configurations

If you save a product configuration to your account for quick reordering, we store which product and configuration options you selected, tied to your account.

Quote Requests

When you submit a quote request from the Quote Cart, we collect your name, email, company, phone number, shipping address, PO/job reference (if provided), any notes you enter, and the list of products and configurations in your cart. This information is sent by email to our sales team.

Payment Information

If you pay an invoice through the Pay an Invoice page, payment is processed entirely by PayPal. We collect the quote number, amount, your name, and your email to display a summary and generate a receipt, but we never see, collect, or store your card or bank account details. Those are handled directly by PayPal under PayPal's own privacy policy.

Information Stored in Your Browser

If you use the site without an account, your quote cart, saved configurations, and selected machine manufacturer are stored locally in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers. This data stays on your device and clears if you clear your browser data.

Website Usage Information

Like most business websites, we use a website visitor identification tool (Apollo) that can associate site visits with the visiting company, generally based on IP address, for sales follow-up purposes. This tool does not require you to do anything and does not collect personal browsing data from other websites. We also load fonts from Google Fonts, which may log IP addresses as part of delivering font files, as is standard for any site using that service.

To process invoice payments through PayPal
To sync your saved configurations across devices when signed in
To autofill your quote request form with your saved account details, so you don't have to re-enter them
To identify potential business customers visiting our site, for sales outreach
To improve the site and respond to support questions

Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with the following service providers, each of whom processes data on our behalf to run the site:

Supabase, for account authentication and storing account/profile/saved-configuration data
Web3Forms, to deliver quote request submissions to our email inbox
PayPal, to process invoice payments
Apollo.io, for website visitor identification and sales outreach
Google Fonts, to serve the typefaces used on this site

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Metal Deburring Supply, our customers, or others.

Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account remains active. Quote request emails are retained in our email system per our normal business record-keeping practices. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see below).

Your Choices

You can review and update your account and profile information at any time from the My Account page.
You can delete individual saved configurations from the Saved Configurations page.
You can request that we delete your account and associated data by emailing us.
Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information under applicable state privacy laws (for example, California residents have rights under the CCPA). Contact us to make a request.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for business customers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Data Security

We rely on our service providers' security practices (including Supabase and PayPal) to protect the information they process on our behalf, and we limit access to customer information to what's needed to run the business. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the site changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
